Tabuk is constantly hot and rainless, with heatwaves billowing in the midsummer. At the construction site of the NEOM Future City project, 250 kilometers from the city center of Tabuk, the blue painted LiuGong drilling rig is under construction.
This is the SD25A rotary drilling rig sold by LiuGong in Saudi Arabia at the end of last year. Currently, multiple equipment are participating in the ‘Mirror Line’ project of the Century Project in the country. The project has just started, and LiuGong drilling rig is mainly responsible for the foundation treatment of surrounding high-voltage power towers in the early stage of the project.
On the construction site of the NEOM Future City project in Saudi Arabia, amidst the endless Gobi, a “LiuGong Blue” machine is seen drilling holes, drilling out hope and erecting the future on Saudi land.
At present, the LiuGong drill rig has been working for nearly 1700 hours, and the project site requires the installation of 425 wire towers. LiuGong rotary drilling rig is responsible for drilling four 10 meter deep pits for each wire tower.
Saudi Arabia has special operating conditions, and the comprehensive performance of the equipment is particularly important. According to a local customer, they require that the equipment must have strong quality assurance, and the overall heat dissipation performance is good, able to adapt to high temperatures, high sand and dust environments, as well as providing excellent oil products and services. Only brands that meet these requirements can enter their selection range.
In addition, in 2022, Saudi Arabia announced plans to invest $1 trillion to build the world’s largest building in the northwest region, with a length of 120 kilometers and a capacity of 5 million people, and plans to complete it by the end of 2030.
