Function of IMT AF190E Axle Idler:
The axle idler is an important component in the walking system of crawler-type engineering machinery like rotary piling rig. It is on the trolley frame and used to guide the crawler tracks. Its main function is to guide the track to be wound correctly, and at the same time, the tensioning device is used to move the axle idler to adjust the tension of the track.
The working principle of the idler assembly: Use a grease gun to inject butter into the grease cylinder through the grease nozzle, causing the piston to extend outward and push the tensioning spring, causing the idler assy to move to the left to tighten the track. The tensioning spring has an appropriate stroke. When the tightening force is too large, the spring is compressed to act as a buffer; after the excessive tightening force disappears, the compressed spring pushes the guide wheel to its original position, which ensures that it slides along the track frame to change the wheelbase and ensures the disassembly and assembly of the track, reduce the impact during walking and avoid rail chain derailment.
