Production Process of Liebherr HS883 HS883HD Track Chain
- Using a stamping press, stamp the high-strength steel plates into the required chain link shape, and punch outholes.
- Using automatic cutting machines or cold heading processform the steel into cylindrical pins, bushings.
- All components undergo heat treatment, typically carburizing or through-hardening, followed by tempering, which increases the wear resistance and strength of the chain.
- After heat treatment, the parts undergo vibratory polishing or barrel polishing to remove sharp edges and burrs, improving surface finish and helping to reduce the coefficient of friction.
- Pre-assemble the inner links (bushings, inner plates) and outer links (pins, outer plates), and useautomated assembly machine to press the components together, and rivet the pins to the outer plates.
- Applying a certain tensile force to the assembled chain causes it to undergo a predetermined elongation. This eliminates the gaps between the parts and reduces initial chain stretching.
- To prevent corrosion, the chains undergo surface treatments such as blackening (oxidation), galvanizing, nickel plating, or phosphating.
- Immerse the chain in lubricating oil, ensuring that the oil penetrates into the gaps between the bushings and pins.
- Inspect the chain for length tolerance, tensile strength, and rotational flexibility. After confirming that it meets the specifications, package the finished product.
