Production Process of the Idler
- Casting/Rolling of Blanks. After metal is melted, using casting processes or rolling processes, the material is rolled into ring-shaped blanks to meet different mechanical strength requirements.
- Rough Machining and Finished Machining. Using turning, milling, drilling, and other machining techniques, machine the blanks to ensure the dimensional accuracy of the wheel body contour, bearing holes, and sealing surfaces.
- Heat Treatment. The idler body, especially the track surface, undergoes heat treatment such as medium-frequency quenching to enhance hardness and wear resistance.
- Welding and Assembly. Weld the finished idler rim, spokes, hub, and other components together to form the final guide wheel structure.
- Surface Treatment and Inspection. Inspect surface treatments such as shot blasting and painting, dimensional accuracy, hardness, and structural strength to ensure compliance.
